Mission accomplished! What an incredible week it was in Washington, DC, training our new ATU leaders. Tonight, International President Costa proudly presented certificates to our Presidents and Financial Secretaries who successfully completed our week-long new officers training.
“Knowledge gives us power,” Costa reminded the leaders. “I’ve said, you can’t organize what you don’t understand. You can’t bargain for what you don’t study. And you sure as hell can’t win what you don’t prepare for. This week, you showed your commitment to our members, the lifeblood of this Union, by learning from one another and our staff. I’m proud of every one of you. You’re what the future of the labor movement looks like.”
