International President Costa brings powerful energy to the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) Convention

ATU International President John Costa brought powerful energy to the Ontario Federation of Labour (OFL) Convention. Speaking to hundreds of delegates from across the province, he delivered a passionate reminder of the strength of our movement and the power workers hold when we stand together.

“You are the beating heart of this province,” said Costa. “You are the frontline defenders of fairness, dignity, and justice for every worker who wakes up to keep our communities moving, safe, educated, and cared for. Thank you for showing what solidarity looks like. Thank you for proving, time and time again, that when workers stand up, we win.”

President Costa celebrated the victories ATU members have won across Ontario, recognized the leadership of labor champions fighting on the front lines, and called for a united movement ready to take on employers and governments who put profits before people.

Costa’s message was clear: When workers rise, communities rise, and when the labor movement rises, no one can stand in our way. Costa also concluded, while speaking truth to power to a standing ovation, “And if you want to tell the boss f@& you, join a union!”

Thank you to the OFL, ATU Canada President John Di Nino, IVPs Manny Sforza and Ken Wilson, and our entire ATU Ontario delegation for showing how strong, united, and ready to fight the ATU is. Solidarity forever!
