Day Two of the California Conference Board (CCB)

ATU International President John Costa joined our California Locals for day two of the California Conference Board (CCB), where the future of the state was front and center!

We were proud to hear from candidates for Governor of California, including Antonio Villaraigosa, Tony Thurmond, and Katie Porter, who shared their vision for public transit, labor, and working families across the Golden State.
President Costa also gave a powerful rundown of the incredible work being done by the International and our Locals across California, from organizing and contract victories to workforce development and legislative advocacy to protect our members on the job.
“California is a leader in public transit and in labor, and our members are on the frontlines of both,” said President Costa. “The work we’re doing here, from Sacramento to San Diego, is setting the standard for the entire country. We’re not just moving people, we’re moving the labor movement forward.”

ATU is all in for California, and with strong leadership and solidarity, we’re ready to take on the challenges ahead.
