"We are deeply saddened to hear the passing of United Steelworkers (USW) International President Tom Conway. Growing up in a union family, Tom had the labor movement in his blood. Known for being a tough negotiator, Tom never backed down from a fight in advocating for the rights of his members. He will be remembered for his tireless work in the labor movement on behalf of all working people. We send our deepest condolences to Tom’s family, friends, and our fellow union members at the United Steelworkers."
