The 30th AFL-CIO Constitutional Convention is officially underway. Before the main event, International President John Costa joined representatives from the U.S. and around the world, including ATU Canada President John Di Nino, at today’s Global Pre-Conference Symposium in Minneapolis. The agenda was organizing strategies, good jobs, and defending worker and human rights worldwide.
“Workers in the United States and Canada are facing the same threats from the same forces,” said Costa and Di Nino. “We’re here in Minneapolis because the only answer to a global attack on workers is a global labor movement that fights back together.”
