International President John Costa was proud to join members on day one of the ATU Northwest Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. Locals from across the U.S. and Canada came together, showing once again that when transit workers unite, our strength knows no borders.
“Solidarity is what makes us strong. When we stand together across Locals, regions, and borders, we win,” said Costa. “Real change doesn’t happen just by talking about it. It takes organizing, showing up, and following through. That’s what the ATU has been doing for more than a century. And none of it happens without each other.”
Costa also shared updates on the work being done across the Northwest by the International and our Locals, stressing that every win comes from solidarity.
Joining Costa were International Executive Vice President Yvette Trujillo, International Vice Presidents Jim Lindsay, John Callahan, Art Aguilar, and Michael Cornellius, along with ATU Canada President John Di Nino, showing the strength, unity, and leadership of our Union.
Together, we’re building a stronger ATU and a better future for working people everywhere.
