Our Local 1015-Spokane, WA, recently kicked of their first joint Coach Operator Mentorship Program in partnership with Spokane Transit. The Local originally launched this as an ATU-only program. But the excitement from our members, the level of participation, and the energy of participants ultimately brought the agency to the table.
Our mentors play a critical role in guiding our new coach operators to prepare for the challenges they will face on the job. Under International President John Costa, our Union is setting the standard for workforce development programs in the transit industry.
