Today, International President John Costa met for an AI Roundtable Briefing hosted by Microsoft, the AFL-CIO Tech Institute, and the Transportation Trades Department, AFL-CIO.
This important meeting brought together voices from across the labor movement to discuss the growing impact of artificial intelligence in transportation and how we can ensure that workers’ rights, safety, and livelihoods remain at the center of this technological transformation.
The discussion emphasized that as AI continues to evolve, it’s critical that working people have a seat at the table. Under President Costa’s leadership, ATU’s participation in these conversations and initiatives represents an opportunity to build a future where AI empowers workers and supports fair, inclusive economic growth.
At ATU, we’re proud to be part of this ongoing dialogue to define the guardrails for the future of AI in transportation and ensure that this new era of technology benefits the workers who keep our communities moving.
