IP John Costa and IEVP Yvette Trujillo were in the Denver area to meet with our members at Local 1772- Englewood, CO, and Local 1001-Denver, CO

On the heels of our successful ATU 61st International Convention in New York City, International President John Costa and International Executive Vice President Yvette Trujillo were in the Denver area to meet with our members at Local 1772- Englewood, CO, working for the RTD, and to visit the Local 1001-Denver, CO, Union Hall.

First stop was an RTD/Transdev bus facility in Englewood, where Costa saw firsthand the critical work our Local 1772 bus operators and maintenance workers perform each day in the city of Englewood and listened to their concerns impacting their Local and fellow members. Costa and Trujillo also had the opportunity to meet with the facility’s General Manager and Operations Manager.
“I want to thank each and every one of you for your commitment and dedication as frontline heroes to keep your communities moving,” Costa told our members. “You are the heart and soul of this great Union. It is an honor to visit with you today.”

Later in the day, Costa visited our Local 1001 Union Hall meeting with President/Business Lance Longenbohm, Recording Secretary, Ronald Short, and Financial Secretary Michael Harvey to talk about safety, transit funding, and other critical issues facing our Local 1001 members working for the RTD. #OurVoiceOurPower
