Today in Staten Island, NY, International President John Costa broke bread at the famous Joe and Pat’s Pizza for a meeting with Local 1181-New York, NY, and Local 726-Staten Island, NY, to discuss the ongoing issues concerning NYC School Bus company contracts.
Our Union stands firm to not re-bid the school bus contracts and remains committed to working together for long term extensions to address the ongoing challenges in the school bus industry. At the meeting from Local 1181 were President/Business Agent Tomas Fret, Financial-Secretary Joseph C. Micciulli, Vice President Carolyn Rinaldi, Local 726-Staten Island, NY, President/Business Agent Danny Cassella and International Vice President Mark Henry.
On the eve of the NYC Mayoral election and his final campaign swing, ATU New York State Legislative Conference Board-endorsed candidate Andrew Cuomo stopped into Joe and Pat’s with his daughters to visit with Costa and our Locals to discuss the critical issues impacting our members and Union in this race.
