Today, International President John Costa, held the final two zoom meetings of the ATU Joint Industry Councils with the MV Transportation JIC and the Student Transportation JIC with IEVP Yvette Trujillo and IST Ken Kirk.
“We appreciate your leadership and commitment to our Union. Our JICs play a critical role in better organizing our members, providing collective defense, and advancing the interests of transit workers working at these private transit companies,” Costa told the attendees.
The JIC Locals heard updates from Costa and ATU staff on these private companies. The Local leaders also spoke about the latest developments on their contract negotiations, grievances, arbitrations, and other concerns impacting our members.
