61st Convention

Why Attend the 61st Convention?

Every three years, the Amalgamated Transit Union holds its General Convention in accordance with the ATU Constitution and General Laws. The 61st International Convention will take place at the New York Hilton Midtown in New York City from August 18–22, 2025.

This Convention is more than just a gathering—it's where the future of our union is shaped. To conduct business, one-third of the elected delegates from Locals must be present to establish a quorum.

Critical decisions will be made as we amend and adopt the laws and policies that guide our union. Delegates will also elect the International Officers who will lead us forward: the International President, Executive Vice President, Secretary-Treasurer, and International Vice Presidents.

It is essential that every Local Union and Joint Bargaining Council fully recognizes the importance of this Convention and ensures they are represented. Our strength lies in our unity, and our voice is only as strong as our presence.
