The Coalition for Smarter Growth is the leading organization in the Washington D.C. region dedicated to making the case for smart growth. Their mission is to promote walkable, inclusive, and transit-oriented communities, and the land use and transportation policies and investments needed to make those communities flourish. Website

Good Jobs First

Good Jobs First is a national policy resource center for grassroots groups and public officials, promoting corporate and government accountability in economic development and smart growth for working families. Good Jobs First works with a very broad spectrum of organizations, providing research, training, communications and consulting assistance.   Website

Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF)

The Industrial Areas Foundation is the nation's largest and longest-standing network of local faith and community-based organizations. The IAF partners with religious congregations and civic organizations at the local level to build broad-based organizing projects, which create new capacity in a community for leadership development, citizen-led action and relationships across the lines that often divide our communities. Jobs with Justice is a grassroots network of more than 200,000 supporters that leads strategic campaigns to build power for working people. The Partnership for Working Families is a national network of leading regional advocacy organizations who support innovative solutions to our nation’s economic and environmental problems. Website

Sierra Club

The Sierra Club is the largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization -- with more than two million members and supporters. Their successes include helping to pass the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and the Endangered Species Act. More recently, they have helped lead the charge away from the fossil fuels that cause climate change and toward a clean energy economy. Website

Transportation for America

Transportation for America (T4A) is an alliance of elected, business and civic leaders from communities across the country, united to ensure that states and the federal government step up to invest in smart, homegrown, locally-driven transportation solutions.  Website

Transportation Trades Department, AFL-CIO

The Transportation Trades Department, AFL-CIO, a coalition of 32 member unions, provides a bold voice for workers in every mode of transportation – both in the private and public sector – devoted to protecting middle-class jobs, expanding collective bargaining, and ensuring modern, safe, and secure transportation operations and infrastructure. Transit Riders for Public Transit

Transit Riders for Public Transportation is a national campaign initiated by the Labor/ Community Strategy Center and Bus Riders Union to bring environmental justice and civil rights priorities to the upcoming federal surface transportation act—whose budget is estimated to be at least $500 billion. USAction is a federation of 22 state affiliates, like Citizen Action New York, that builds power by uniting people locally and nationally, on-the-ground and online, to win a more just and progressive America. The United States Public Interest Research Group (U.S. PIRG) is a consumer group that stands up to powerful interests whenever they threaten our health and safety, our financial security, or our right to fully participate in our democratic society. For decades, they have stood up for consumers, countering the influence of big banks, insurers, chemical manufacturers and other powerful special interests. Website
