ATU stands in solidarity with General Motors workers on strike

Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) International President John Costa issued the following statement in support of UAW members on strike at General Motors.

“The Amalgamated Transit Union and our more than 200,000 members across the U.S. and Canada stand in solidarity with the UAW members on strike against General Motors across the United States.

“These men and women made tough sacrifices when GM was struggling, now the company is raking in millions of dollars in profits on the backs of these workers, but their bosses are the only ones getting raises.

“This strike isn't just about pay and benefits, it's about job security, dignity, and respect on the job. We pledge the ATU’s support with our striking brothers and sisters at the UAW.”
