From contract fights to privatization battles, ATU is under attack. But Locals from Binghamton, NY, to Seattle, WA, to Atlanta, GA, to Kansas City, MO, to all across North America are engaged in comprehensive campaigns to build coalitions with our riders to successfully fight back.

In Kansas City, Local 1287 is developing a campaign to rally support to fight against efforts to outsource the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA).  More than 125 members attended a meeting to begin plans to develop new strategies, empower members to get involved, and build coalitions with riders and community groups. The members heard from 1287 President/Business Agent Jonathan Walker about the importance of all members getting involved.

Stay tuned as this campaign will kick into high gear soon.
