Mother Nature recently unleashed her wrath with devastating floods and tropical storms in Florida and destructive wildfires in Colorado, and ATU members’ homes and property have been destroyed and damaged in the process.
One Colorado member lost his home and others were among the 32,000 who were evacuated. Members in Pensacola had their cars stuck in floods as they fulfilled their duties driving their buses. Adding insult to injury Florida is also being hit hard with more flooding from Tropical Storm Debbie.
When a crisis hits, ATU members do what they do every day on the job, in their communities, in their places of worship. They don’t ask questions about when and where and how. They just help out.
