Union Officers
The ATU is the largest transit worker union in the United States and Canada, and its officers form the infrastructure which is essential to its functioning.
ATU local officers perform all of the vital functions necessary to make the Union work. They negotiate collective bargaining agreements, file grievances, represent the local in their community, organize, campaign for political candidates, lobby for legislation, and much more. In short our local officers work to defend and extend what has been accomplished through collective bargaining as well as the political process.
