Steve Rosenberg
Rec. Sec., ATU Local 825, 825
"Almost everything is political," said Steve Rosenberg, a bus operator for New Jersey Transit, "and we need the politicians’ help." That’s why he gets involved in local union political efforts on behalf of his union.
"Volunteering can be a real pain in the neck, but the benefits outweigh this," he said. "By electing candidates and educating our members, we are making a difference. It’s also a great weigh to meet new people and learn about other unions."
"I enjoy educating my fellow members about issues that affect them," he said. "Sometimes they aren’t aware of certain issues or how these issues affect them and it surprises them."
Just A Few Hours
Rosenberg urges his fellow union Brothers and Sisters to get involved as well. "If everyone volunteered just a few hours, we could get a lot more done."
