Stanley Groneck, a bus operator in Denverm credits his parents and his Polish heritage for his interest in being active in his union. "My Polish heritage has taught me a lot about working class solidarity and about the importance of participating in the democratic process," said Groneck.
"In the U.S., money has greatly influenced the political process and the only way to counter this is to get similar-minded individuals representing working class interests. That’s why the labor political program is so important," said Groneck, who in addition to being an ATU activist, is also a Democratic Party Precinct Captain.
Working Class Values
"Union activism must be heartfelt and requires sacrifices and the ability to prioritize working class values," he said.
