Expand Health Care Coverage

America's working families are facing a crisis in health care: health care costs are rising three times the rate of inflation. As a result, employers are shifting more health care costs onto workers - or simply dropping health coverage. Already, 46 million Americans have no health insurance.

The current employer-based health care system followed in this country is no longer realistic in light of the competitive challenges of our global economy. We must see real comprehensive solutions to the heath care crisis that will ensure universal coverage for all Americans while at the same time controlling costs and expending coverage.
