The Amalgamated Transit Union is guided by a triennial International Convention at which delegates elected by ATU locals meet to debate and direct the future of the Union.
The Union's executive officers and international vice presidents are elected to serve a three year term following the Convention. The Convention also elects delegates and alternates to represent the ATU at the next AFL-CIO Convention.
